Chatporch is an embeddable AI chat widget that drops onto any website with one <script> tag. Our customers are developers, agencies, and founders shipping sites in WordPress, Shopify, Astro, Webflow, Next.js, and everything in between. We need someone who lives in that audience and can show them, in their stack, why a 60-second install is worth doing.
What you’ll do
Own the developer-facing surface of Chatporch end to end. That means our docs site, our quickstarts, our sample integrations for the top five platforms our customers use, and the content that helps developers find us in the first place.
You’ll write the WordPress plugin tutorial, the Shopify theme snippet, and the Astro integration guide. You’ll ship a public sandbox repo per platform that someone can clone and have running in under five minutes. You’ll record short Loom and YouTube walkthroughs of real installs. You’ll answer GitHub issues and the questions that come in through [email protected] when they’re technical enough to need a real engineer’s reply.
You’ll also be our eyes and ears. Patterns you see in install questions become docs pages. Patterns you see across customer prompts become product feedback for the team.
What we’re looking for
Three or four years writing code in production, ideally TypeScript and one frontend framework you actually love. You don’t have to have done DevRel before, but you have to be the person on your current team who already writes the README, files the helpful issue, and explains the gnarly thing in Slack so the next person doesn’t get stuck.
Strong written communication is the job. If you can’t make a paragraph land, the rest of the role doesn’t work.
Bonus points
You’ve shipped a Cloudflare Worker, used Server-Sent Events in anger, written about Anthropic’s API, or maintained a popular open-source package. You have a YouTube channel, a blog with a real audience, or a conference talk we can watch.
Compensation and logistics
$110k to $150k base depending on experience, plus meaningful early-stage equity. Fully remote within the US. We’ll cover travel to two conferences a year of your choosing. Health, dental, vision, 4 weeks PTO.
